Anaerobic infection (1) For the prevention of postoperative anaerobic infections, especially the infections caused by Bacteroides and P. anaerobius (2) For the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections (as an adjuvant therapy), endocarditis, sepsis, bacteremia, peritonitis, abdominal abscess, liver abscess, meningitis, brain abscess, necrotizing pneumonia, empyema, lung abscess, osteomyelitis, puerperal cerebral toxemia, pelvic abscess, pelvic cellulitis, endometritis, endomyometritis, tubo-ovarian abscess, postoperative vaginal uterine infection, and postoperative wound infection where pathogenic anaerobic bacteria can be isolated or highly suspected concurrent anaerobic infection is present. (3) For the treatment of leg ulcers and pressure sores caused by anaerobic bacteria infections. 2.
